BANKING TO REAL ESTATE

Transitioning from a nearly decade-long career in banking, Janell honed her skills from the ground up, moving from Bank Teller to Banker and eventually to Developmental and Training Specialist roles. Her experience equipped her with invaluable qualities like active listening, adept problem-solving, and an unwavering attention to detail.

Recognizing the deeply personal nature of financial discussions, Janell respects and values her clients’ privacy and fosters a relationship of trust. She views the opportunity to guide individuals through significant real estate decisions as an immense honor. “Being entrusted to advise someone on one of the most significant investments of their lives, an investment that not only impacts them but also generations to come, is an honor I greatly appreciate and I do not take that responsibility lightly.”

TEAM MENTALITY

Growing up, Janell thrived in competitive soccer, attributing much of her success and essential life skills to the sport. Beyond teamwork, soccer instilled in her a sense of tenacity, discipline, patience, and respect for others. “Competing in a dedicated and successful team isn’t just about winning games; it’s about the unseen effort behind the scenes. These lessons gave me grit, a commitment to others, and the tenacity to keep going even in the face of adversity.”

Her sports-driven mindset translates seamlessly into her work in real estate. Janell’s deep-rooted determination and skills are precisely what make her an invaluable asset to any client’s real estate journey. “I won’t give up. I believe that every situation is an opportunity to learn, pivot, and problem solve. I bring that same mentality to serving my clients.”

THE BIG PICTURE

When she’s not working to serve her clients in finding their dream home, selling their home, or building an investment portfolio, Janell cherishes time with her family. Her husband, Ruben, an Army Veteran, shares in coaching their kids’ sports teams. “Outside the fields, we’re out and about – exploring the town, attending local concerts, tasting diverse foods at outdoor markets, or biking scenic trails. We’re an active, sociable family always eager to engage and connect with our community.”

Janell’s commitment to building relationships extends far beyond real estate, shaping a life devoted to meaningful connections and community engagement. “At the end of the day, I want to be remembered as someone who gives back to the community and who made the lives of others better – that goes for my family, friends, and my clients. It’s a short life we live, and I want to make it meaningful.”
